The broadcast will feature a Knockouts Triple Threat match with Velvet Sky vs. Tara vs. Mickie James, with the winner earning a shot at the Knockouts Championship against Gail Kim at Against All Odds! Gail will also be in attendance on Thursday to watch the match unfold!
Steel Cage Match; Madison Rayne vs. Mickie James
Mickie throws Madison’s head into the turnbuckle then kicks her in the stomach, but Madison kicks her back and tries to climb out. Mickie catches her and powerbombs her, then uses her boot to choke her in the corner. She follows with a running dropkick for two, then Madison comes back with a kick to the head, but Mickie throws her back into the corner as we go to a break. When we return, Mickie flapjacks Madison and climbs the turnbuckles, but Madison jumps up and snaps her head off the ropes. She rakes Mickie’s head on the cage then hits a neckbreaker for a two count, then she argues with the ref and pulls Mickie up by the hair and slams her head on the mat.
Madison puts her in a headscissors and slams her head off the mat, then puts her in a headlock but Mickie makes it to her feet so Madison knees her in the stomach. She whips Mickie across the ring and rams her shoulder into her, then whips her off the ropes and hits a bulldog and follows it with another corner whip. Mickie counters with a neckbreaker, then both women slam each other’s head off the mat as they get up then trade punches. Mickie hits some flying forearms then Madison rakes her eyes and kicks her in the head, then chokes her after a two count. The referee tells her to back off and Mickie throws her headfirst into the cage, then does it again before connecting with a jumping DDT for the win.
Winner; Mickie James
We go backstage as Tara and Velvet Sky are all “Oh My God” as Mickie comes to the back after her match and tell her how hardcore she is. Mickie says she feels amazing, but there’s one more girl she wants to get her hands on and she’s coming for Gail Kim’s Knockouts Title. Madison screwed her over and over, but Gail was really quick to leave Madison hanging and then talks about a knee injury she suffered last time she faced Gail before the girls go to celebrate with some shots.

Note: This match was the first match taped on Monday so Mickie (and people in attendance) figured it would air tonight, hence why Mickie tweeted about it. TNA taped three shows in two days this week so they can edit filmed footage and air it any week they want. This match was not filmed as a dark match or for Xplosion, it will air next week, January 19th.

WLNY TV 10/55 did a feature on their sports broadcast for when Impact Wrestling came to Westbury, New York last week. Mickie was briefly shown during a signing session and during a Knockouts tag team match where she teamed up with Velvet Sky. Watch the video below:
